Infrastructure:Operations:Automation Order ESB0-09-10-25-1143
To be stated softly, slowly, clearly and with authority to Cretin Earship commanders.
"To find those we seek, First Hear, Then Listen, Then Understand."
"Judgment and cleansing will follow in their proper and authorized sequence."
I tried to put the sun behind the mothership to get rays - and got some small ones I guess. The pov is looking up and the earships aren't in the clouds which might be a mistake. Also everything is really close together so the sense of scale seems missing. The clouds are based on NWDA cumulus and fantasy presets. The comments (lest anyone think I'm serious) were entirely satire, but probably came across a little frightening or offensive - so sorry for that - or the image was just that bad... Any ideas for improvement, please shoot away - I'm at wits end...
I think it is a really cool scene. The rays coming in on the second image are really great. Not really sure what you are looking to improve? You could increase the reflection on the ships to chrome type levels but that would add some very crazy render time.
the cloud on the left is great, but I don´t like so much the ones on the right. Overall a nice scene though!

Exact opposite for me :)
The cloud on the right (which I like :) looks like stalictites, rock formations of some sort...
great image

super scenes!
They do look like snow caves to me also. I like the effect, so add a blue component. ;D

me thinks the same, massive, gigantic snow caves.
Arrggggg -- added another earship, made the mothership a little larger, moved the sun, and a couple more cloud layers and tried one more level of detail and 5 hours into it suffered ray trace and bucket render errors. So being frustrated I loaded PS and butchered the thing learning how to saturate and lighten and darken via the brush. It is more vibrant but I think it is more a matter of taste as to whether it improved or not. So much to learn and so little time and skill... time to move on to another learning project, like the NWDA default scene for example!!
You cant tell you've photoshopped it:)
And I've lost all sense of up! Not necessarily a bad thing ;)
