I am rendering a full version of this one now. It may be done Sunday night. When the final image is done, I'll post the tgd file. I am still trying to find the right combination of high render settings and quick render times. They may be mutually exclusive. :P
It could be time to get a new machine. The current one still works well for many things. So, processor and memory it is...

These look pretty cool, but not perfectly realistic. When you have a cliff at the coast like this, it is usually hollowed out at the bottom, near the shoreline. No idea how to get that effect, but it would add tons of believability.
good rocks but the hole image needs some light or more contrast ? ! I don't know but something is missing (don't forget to work on the cloud too...)
PS I'm waiting the tgd I'm interested by those cracks in the terrain...
NKAID...
It's hard to tell from the small tests. The dot matrix Supersample pass is done, which does not give much either. I think the final will look good. It's been 12 hours 20 minutes, still rendering the top of eight rows.
I have aborted the render after 25 hours. I am changing the render settings.
Edit: using the lesser render values has sped things up, 29 hours and 1/3 done. I think there are too many compute normals. I think I may start using images for displacement. The old settings would have been several days. I may stop the render later today to post what has finished.
It's not the full image I wanted to render. I found some things I need to change. Here it is.

I may get back to this sometime soon. I have a new one I want to test render.
