Welcome to the forum!
I really like this. The clouds are interesting, but the most interesting part is the double cone volcano in the mid distance. Good job with the tree scales.
Veeery nice first post here :)
As njeneb said you did a very good job here with the scales. Just excellent.
I also like the sparse clouds, very good coverage and also the cloudfractal is nice.
The surfacing could use a little bit of work I think, some more color-variations would be nice.
Also, the rims of the craters could use some extra roughness/displacement.
Otherwise, very good work so far, looking forward to see more.
Cheers,
Martin
I echo the above...nice job...love the pov, and the interesting terrain. another suggestion might be to restict the tree populations so that the inner craters are bare?...and also restricting the clouds with a distance shader....only suggestions and just what I might try...great first post, look forward to seeing more.... :)
very very good first post !
nice render
Guys, thank you so much! I've always admired your works and I'm glad to hear you like my picture..I agree with you, some color variation in the ground would definetely help.
Thanks again!
Fabio
Wow! :) :) :)
interesting cloud shapes
if possible; can you render it larger?
Cool image and an great first posting. I'd agree with the others comments and add maybe try some soft shadows and make the shaded areas lighter, maybe a fill light or upping the AO.
:)
keep it coming :)
Richard
Great first post - nothing to add to the comments above. Welcome!
Agreed, great first post. Keep'em coming.
Really, really nice!
I think the trees inside the craters are great. I've been watching the BBC documentary 'Lost Land of the Volcano' recently and the inner walls of Mount Bosavi look very much like this in terms of tree coverage, but on a far larger scale. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/sep/08/mount-bosavi-creatures-discovery-scientists
Great job, keep them coming! :)
Awesome work! Keep 'em coming!
Ha ha, three of us in a row have said 'keep 'em coming'. Richard, you spoiled it! 'Keep IT coming'? ... ... ... Wait, you posted before us! ;)
You should, though! Keep it/'em coming!
love it... more please.
Absolutely fabulous! I also like the angle, as if you're flying over...
A bit of greyish rocks on the rim top would be nice, I think, where the soil has washed away.

Hi guys, what can I say? thank you all again! I'll definetely keep it/'em coming! ehhehe.
Here is a slightly bigger render, which is actually the original size...

The large view really looks great. Dune's suggestion about the rim is a good one.
A lot of features in this excellent render, where many beginners wouldn't dare to tread. I particularly like that whispy cloud. Great work.
John
You have a very nice gallery Fabio, great work there!

Ghehe...Dune and I are both dutch, but not the same person :P
As a working artist, do you feel TG2 will be a viable tool in your armory?
Very nice render! :o
Very nice. The volcanoes are great.
