Working on a desert using a GeoControl imported terrain and masks as well. I am not going to do any plants sense they look like crap anyways.
This looks very good! I especially like the clouds on the horizon. It sure does look hot there, I think I'm going to go get a glass of water ;D
It is a very good start. Call it a salt bed, then you will not have to explain the absence of plants.
Could be a salt bed or it could be a dry lake bed as well. I might throw in some dry bushes somewhere about the rocks and hills i think.
Nice work, a Land Rover and a dust trail and it's sorted. ;)
Added some plants but very few then i changed the sky to a warmer light.
The first one was MUCH better. Nicer light. No plants needed, perhaps a lost cacti, but between the rocks, not in the sand. I like the one rock in front. You could make some low flying sand (low, coloured cloud)...
---Dune
Agree with Dune. There wasn't a whole lot to improve on the first one. If any plants, I would also add them to the rocks, most fitting I'd deem a few single grasses.
It would be nice to have this rendered at higher quality, though.
Regards,
Frank
nice, :)
looks a bit more like a dry river bed to me...
I prefered the first one also! ;D
I second Dune and Frank.
The suggestion of some dusty sand is very nice :)

Should be enough to work on those aspects.
Except for the lower 1/4th, this looks completely realistic. Good lighting, too (which is a big help).
Bigger and updated in key locations.
I believe you got it perfect on that last render. :D
Well done! The sand is very convincing!

Well, i am not going back to this after i do my overhead view as the trouble with Terragen 2 is that one small change in a seed or node can mess up a lot. It's too figidy in that regard.

I try but even better if i can get sparkles in there. ;D
The rocks are superb. Nice work!
Forget the overview render. I am getting all sorts of masking errors and i don't have the time to fix it. Seesh, i need to take up drawing. ::)
