Well had a play with Ryan Archers Golden forest tutorial and came up with this, lit it differently obviously and I'm very happy with the result. Did have some major probs rendering it at 1600, rendered the top two blocks then started to give loads of errors and missing out sections or running out of memory type errors which was kind of disappointing considering I've just built a new system that's much better than my old one, even reducing quality from 1 to 8 made no difference, in end I reduced size to 1440 and dropped GI to 1/2 from 2/4 and was successful.

Nice... the path really begs to be followed.
It may not be like the tutorial exactly, but you were paying attention. Great image.

Nice. There is a definite pathway, I can see it too, and I'd like to walk it.
I think this is the nicest(not to degrade any other ones, they're all nice. :)) of the multitude of Rarchers misty woods renders so far. Everyone's has been in sillouhette until now, this is nice, a great daytime representation in the lighting, as opposed to a dusky one.
The full sized view is braw.
I too like seeing a different take on this tutorial. Nice work, good result.

Thanks for the comments, nice to get a bit of feedback.

I like your twist on this tutorial, I will have to try my hand at it. I also run into trouble running out of memory on my laptop, it is most frustrating.
