Any way to block specific users here when I'm signed into the site so I don't see their posts?
I don't even like to ask this question. :(
I can't see any way to do it. I don't think there is.

To be honest, I believe the person in question is a middle-aged undercover agent from E-on Software, sent here to wreak havoc. ;)
I resisted to post here. Not that i don't understand you...only to not lengthen this thing (i think everyone knows what i mean :) )
But now....LOL :D
Kadri.
I've seen more trolling than ever. Not sure what's up. DandelO might be correct or close to the truth. It might be a very young Vue user who has nothing better to do than be an ass. Or something. :o
Not sure if there is such a function on this forum but on a previous forum I used for a online RPG game we had different section within the forum where only certain people would have access to, i.e a basic public section, a guild member only section, an officer section etc etc, Someone with administrator access to the forum would be able to grant members access to relevant section. Doesn't stop people posting in public section of course but you can discuss matters in private that may concern.
I see sometimes in the other forums they mention a " ignore " preference. DandelO , i don't know ,maybe that is it what you are after. Can Planetside make this happen?
Kadri.
this would work .....http://www.gargaro.com/MaRvInWaVs/disngrat.wav
@Matrix - Ha!
I still like the Report to Moderator function, when things get very out of hand. I've seen more than one recent user (I count 3 off the top of my head), who didn't seem interested in learning and were more interested in stirring stuff up. Everyone here, who has been here a little while and participate almost daily, does not seem to be the types of people who need to be segregated to keep the peace. I'm sort of opposed to segregating the forum into special elite places.
This forum, for the most part, has been a very friendly place.

These days it seems things are changing, and the general mood is not the same as it was a few weeks ago.
Maybe that is why I post less messages than before...
I don't come in here to read bullshit and whinning all over the place. >:(
Cya later guys...
perhaps some user moderators to help keep threads and users in check a bit more?
It would be better if the the users would use discretion. There is nothing wrong with posting, even a little criticism of some work, in a constructive way. But there are some who can't do this, or won't. I would bundle their comments together and email them back. Most parents look at their kids email.

:D :D hahaha good idea ;)
There is no way to ignore specific users at present. Although things get stirred up at times and it can get a bit unpleasant, we have a great community here and I have faith that things will equalize in time. Obviously if anyone is clearly being a troll or otherwise causing trouble we'll deal with it, but as long as people are contributing value we prefer not to moderate heavily. I think the best policy is simply to ignore someone you don't like. In a community of 2000+ people, you're not going to like everyone. ;)
