I figured I'd start this thread so people dont miss the basic things they should know about terragen.

For example I just realised that alt+LMB allows you to rotate around your current pickpoint, MMB to zoom and RMB to strafe. I know these are common features in all 3d packages but I somehow managed to miss them in Terragen..

You might want to fully review Part 1 of the User Guide. It covers camera controls, including what you just mentioned.

I know they are in the manual and I've read it but still missed them. That's why I kinda started this thread

Well, I didn't know you can grab the render screen (when doing a large cropped render), and move it to find your little crop in the blackness. Just found out by coincidence. Always used the handles, which is more cumbersome.
