Title: modifying terrain with image map.
Post by: typerextreme on October 30, 2009, 07:28:38 PM
I am attempting to make a gravestone just using TG2 and an image map with R.I.P. on it.  I can get the "stone" made from a shrunken heightfield, I just can't seem to get the displacement on the side of the "stone". I want R.I.P. to be sunken into the "stone". I know i'm just missing something, but I can't figure out what.

Try a negative displacement value for the text image.  Post screenshots too.

If your problem is the placement on the side of the stone, use a projection mapping with a second camera pointing directly at the stone.

I can't seem to figure out the workflow for the node network apparently. I'll post screenshots later on.
