Title: Populations on Imported .obj's
Post by: bobbystahr on November 14, 2009, 04:38:39 PM
Searched under that heading and found nothing....Is this even possible? Like a cottage lot mesh .obj[built in Imagine3D to match a cottage built there as well] I'd like to merge with a TG ter and have the grass pop and ground texture as the unifying elements.. ...

You cannot currently place populations onto imported objects directly. If your terrain and the cottage "lot" were overlapping, it's possible to get the population to appear in the right place though, or you can use an invisible terrain to accomplish this as some people have done with flocks of birds, etc. Alignment could be tricky though.
