Trying to take that snow thing up to the next level. What I ended up with I think, is the most realistic representation of an actual blizzard:
You can't see ----!
So, more work must be done, in the meanwhile, enjoy the whiteout.
Very good representation. It sort of reminds me of the snow/blizzard in "Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer" the animation.
very zen!
Ha ha! It's a photo! :D
2nd try, not liking it as much as the first, clearly, going in the wrong direction.
actually i like the second one as much of the first one, i can see more of the background and the ground surface underneath the snow. :)
where's my sheep?

where's my sheep?
hehehehe.... ;D
the blizzard got em' :D
There's actually 5 sheep and a polar bear there, if you look hard enough ;)
i find if u "up" the render quality the effect disappears, done a load of these but cant get that "big flake" type.
Lots of models perhaps wont need a hi quality render that is if a tree that has snow modeled on it, like i done over in ashundar will work.
BTW anyone got a yeti model?
Hi terrade, perhaps the above post was meant for a different thread?
Thanks for these sexy trees!
Looks good. What's next? Maybe Christmas ornaments?

hmm.... a Christmas themed render
That would be nice. I have always wanted to do one. (A christams theme render)
Christmas themed hmm..? Lets see...
Tis the season.
So, I think these guys would look pretty good hanging off of one of those lonely frozen trees.
tried that too...hell of a job placing them things on a B box..best thing to do is take it to a mdeling program, but there again we need some lights
I shouldn't have too much trouble, got 5 of the gold bumpy ones placed well. It's a smaller tree so it's not too hard. Light, on the other hand... I dunno how I'll do that, my modeling skills leave alot to be desired, and I wouldn't force the job on anyone else.
If anyone wants to whip me up a quick Star, however ;)
Here's something a bit star-like. it's in .DXF - hope you can read that. I meant to convert it to .OBJ, but it seems my installation of Blender doesn't have the right script.
I'll have to install blender, thanks.
Hi Zylot, I managed to get Blender exporting correctly, so here it is. You can ignore the warnings re the MTL file. Also attached is a pic.
Here you go. Don't worry about the spikes, I put those in to make it sparkly. You'll have to add your own golden Reflective Shader because Anim8or didn't export the one I made.

Domlibs lookss great, but thanks as well blackhole.
Here's an Anim8or render:
