Title: Terrapon Mountains
Post by: Henry Blewer on December 01, 2009, 10:59:36 PM
This one just sort of occurred. I did not have a plan in mind. I changed the atmosphere because the blue skies looked odd.

Did I forget to tell you that this is 80 hours of rendering? (Yes I am sick, mentally. But since I did not have any other inspiration occurring, I just let it go; on and on and on and on...) I also thought it looked cool, and wanted a large image. ;D

Most of the time was spent working and sleeping (well in spurts of sleep), so it was not too bad to wait.

80 hours? what render setting did you use? or was it something else in the structure of the scene?

i like the atmosphere, does'nt look breathable though.. :)

It's mostly the size of the image, 1920 x 1080. My P4 HT sputters and coughs with large render sizes. There are also lots of displacements. It's hard to get scale in this one. I did not add anything that shows scale. The tall peaks are over 4000 meters.

Here is the tgd. I think I picked the right one. November has been productive, and I do not name everything as I should.
