Another attempt at the salty flavour of the month.

Thanks for looking! :)
WOW! Great!

This is wonderful! Great work. 8)
shark! :o
is it a great white shark?
impressive render.
I like the little urchin you have down there too,
I like the green and the subtlety of the objects. Really nice image DandelO.
For me it seems like this is more a deep river or lake. Especially the rocks and the green suggest it i think.

maybe its a bull shark... those things have been know to swim thousands or hundreds of miles up rivers.
Very nice, Dandel0. I like this murkyness.
Nice rays!
Very believable! I really enjoy these underwater renders!
lol, I feel I'm the only one still rendering on dry, if not freezing cold land. This is very very good, the coloring is amazing, and the rays are a great addition.
Awesome work, I love the mood!
Cheers, everyone! :)
I've another in the pipeline, I'll leave it rendering tonight if I'm finished with the settings before I go out, if not, I'll post it at the weekend, at some point...
Z: It is neither a great white or a bull shark, it's just a nondescript shark model I found on Turbosquid for free, I think it is supposed to be a GW, though.
There is certainly no conclusive evidence of Great Whites in the North Sea. The(farcical) Sun newspaper ran a story about 'McJaws' some time back, an alleged Great White spotted off the coast of Aberdeen... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/1599120/Great-White-McJaws-snapped-off-Aberdeen.html
The one grainy picture is pretty far from conclusive. I'm pretty sure we have basking sharks here, though, at certain times of year.
Ha, you certainly wouldn't see this image from the North Sea off Arbroath beach(about 40-odd miles away from me), where this rendered photo was taken mind you! :D
I left a high quality initial test render on for the new UW scene last night. It wasn't really great.
'blah-blah-blah-drunken-blah-blah-blah' Removed by authour. ;)
I'll get back to it at the start of the week! :)
Cool. I'm playing Tomb Raider and this looks like some place she would go. Very GOOD.
Just a little update on this with less fanned rays. The rays were all originating from too close a point before because the ray-casting sunlight was just out of shot. Here it is higher up to spread them out more naturally.
It's more physically 'correct' but I don't like it as much as the first one. I'm going to start something else now, I think. I've had this .tgd every which way but pink so far and it's doing my head in now. :D I tried a tropically coloured edit that will never see the light of day but it was a fun exercise to revisit from all that time ago since last I dabbled with underwater atmospheres.
Bugger! My .psd document screwed up on saving the .png. It'll be a wee while yet, sorry. Not too long...
Sorry...

Cheers for your lookeries! :)
Good render. I do not see much difference. But I liked the first image of this very much also.
The only difference is that the rays aren't so close together at the top of the image now, Henry. The sunlight elevation is just raised to spread the rays out a bit.
Yep, it's time for new glasses... Actually, my monitor does not show any rays.
