I have CS3 installed but I went to Adobe labs http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/pixelbender/ (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/pixelbender/) and downloaded Pixel Bender, it runs on its own. I just don't know if having CS3 installed makes a difference...
Down load this - Get the Pixel Bender Toolkit and the Pixel Bender Plug-in for Photoshop CS4 -Then install

Sweet! It works in Quartz Extreme for the Mac! I can have this as my desktop background now if I want to kill my graphics card.
While this is not 3D, it's standalone and it's damn damn fast.
And I mean damn DAMN fast !

My norton tagged it too, but no virus. False alarm :)
