Title: Alpine Sunrise
Post by: NWsenior07 on December 24, 2009, 11:33:27 PM
This one's been on the back burner for a little while. I finally got a chance to get it done.
Merry Christmas!

The tree distribution is very good. I like the sunlight lighting the mountain top also. I would have varied the plants a little more. All together this is a very good image.

With a little more smoother fog and more plant variation like Njeneb said this is a good render , NWsenior07.

Very nice render!
My only 2 suggestions would be to slightly reduce the hazes and to lower the sun's elevation a bit more and increase strength quite much, say up to 10 or even more. You should then get stronger contrasts and more dramatic lighting. The mountain and snow would be glowing stronger. A drawback would be that you will have to change the lighting paramaters of the clouds.

Great work anyway!

Great lighting in the background - I think it's nicely subtle

Thanks for the feedback, @ Kadri and Njeneb, I've got a population of beech trees in there but they are a little hard to see. I'm thinking of trying a different kind of different kind of tree to see if I can get a little more definition out of them. I'll try moving the sun down a pit and tweaking the clouds and whatnot too.
