Title: Blue Forever
Post by: Markal on January 03, 2010, 06:30:39 PM
My World Machine 2 2049 "Viking" terrain
Postwork: small corner of the Orion Nebula from Hubble telescope. LunarCell moons overlayed on the TG2 moons.
I know...most here don't postwork but....I had too...not good enough with TG2 yet...had to get back to my favorite genre Space art...my first major postwork of a TG2 image.
Thanks!

Even it is posworked it still stays a good image...like a poster of sci-fi film...

I like everything that has the Orion Nebula in it  ;D
Post work is not so easy as some people  think . Your try here is good. I like this image  :)

I like it. It reminds me of the TG 0.9 days, when postworking epic skies into TG renders was a large part of making the entire scene. Not that I've ever been much good at Photoshopping TG images, it just reminds me of this. :)

In the hands of someone like you, who knows what he's doing in Photoshop, post-working a render..particularly a fantasy or SF scene..makes it even more exciting.  My compliments, Mark!

Somewhere out there ...I knew sooner or later you'd come up with what you do best - a striking piece of deep space work.

man, crazy to think terragen is capable of this kind of quality. like something you'd see on the cover of a sci-fi movie case. very inspiring to a beginner like me. awesome work!  ;)

I'm going to take up the role of party pooper here. Overall the scene is great sci-fi. The celestial features are excellent (well integrated), and the towered terrain is also excellent, with good displacement work. But it's the bottom part of the scene that my minds eye has been having trouble with every since I first viewed it over at ReRo. The white mistiness has a kind of chalky, harsh feel to it, as though it has been post worked that step too far. The result is a rather sketchy look to the bottom section of the scene.
