Title: Neptune Moon
Post by: Markal on January 07, 2010, 08:40:45 PM
Postworked two LunarCell moons over dandelO's procedural night sky (had to delete quite a few stars in the planet's shadow). Some of the stars should have been slightly red and others blue....don't know why they are all white....still, an excellent star field...thanks dandelO. Now, I waiting for you to develope a night sky with the stars in the position of the zodiac as seen from earth....he,he,he....
Thanks!

I've tried editing the Procedural Night Sky to include realistic nebulae that cover large parts of the sky. My nebula attempt: EPIC FAIL.

Nicely done - better than the last one I think.  The terrain is interested - have you tried procedural surfacing rather than texture mapping?

A surface map of Neptune on one of TG2's planets should have looked fine. Nice sky none-the-less.
I am with Eoin on the terrain surfacing, a bit odd looking, but I do understand cause I can't seem to get away from texture maps myself.
