Title: hgt Tiles
Post by: ASH33M on January 08, 2010, 01:41:55 PM
I have a small number of .ter tiles, when rendering using a tgw file some areas at sea level produce some strange effect because as some tiles are not flat when they should be, is possable to flatten some area without having any effect on other part of a particular tile.

Look forward to if anyone is able to help.

Thank you.

Is it the default surface? Do you have this problem when there's no bump on the ground?

If I understand correctly, you want to edit the terrain very precisely to adjust the height of small areas so that they are even/flat with the rest of the terrain. I think for this you would be better off using a dedicated heightfield editor such as Wilbur or Leveller.

Each hgt tile is is approx 2,818 kb in size, is there a tool available where it maybe possable to reduce the size of the hgt tiles itself.
