I quite got it now, a way to get nice surf (with just a tiny hint of a curl) where the foam can be restricted to the coastal waves, good enough (IMHO) to add it to the NWDA community store, and get a little back for the weeks of experimenting. Of course there's ample room for enhancements, but it's a nice one to experiment with. Hopefully, a later build of this great program will have real surf! I just uploaded the tgd and tutorial, so it might need some time before you'll find it. Here's an image.

amazing first ground !
Wow, really good. Congratulations on this achievement!
I don't use presets from others but you have me as a customer !
I really want to know how you achieve this one, dude ! ^^
Wow!
This is amazing! Congratulations!
Frank
foreground is exceptional....wow!
I see I have something to buy! Great work.
Great job. Very impressive results :).
Top stuff Dune... I'll be buying as this looks great.
Simon.
Dune's amazing surf is now available at the NWDA Community Store.
Here's the product page: http://store.nwdanet.com/terragen2store/6-terragen-2-presets/23-water/39-beach-and-foamy-surf.html
Congratulations on your first product, Ulco!
Cheers,
Frank
I'm gonna be a millionaire, I can sense it... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Dune they are nice waves really :)
Do i remember wrong ? Didn't Jo make the water plugin(?) for classic Terragen ? I have nothing bad to say about your waves Dunes .
But i am curious why Jo didn't make a new plugin or node for TG2 . I am not a programmer . Maybe it is very difficult to make it for TG2
(hint hint ... is this enough to winding him up ;D )
Kadri.
Wow - love the foreground - truly amazing work!
@kadri: You're right, but a similar thing for TG2 is in the (longer) pipeline, I heard along the grapevine (if I heard right).

Thanks and i hope you are right :)
Hi,
The main reason I haven't done anything like this for TG2 is that I haven't had time. I think you could reproduce the effects I made for v0.9 using the node network, and in fact I think you'd agree Dune is definitely heading in the right direction. I'd say it's as good if not better than WaterWorks already. I'd like to be able to dedicate some time to coming up with some cool stuff for water, but I'm just too busy with boring stuff ;-).
Regards,
Jo

Hmm ...I think this is good too for us :)
Thanks , Jo .
Kadri.
Dump the boring stuff, Jo!
Depends on what the boring stuff is. It may be a real gem of a shader that Jo is finding tedious to code.
A lot of work goes into the GUI, cross-platform issues, preparing various things for the transition to 64-bit on both platforms, etc. That stuff takes up most of Jo's time at the moment.
Keep on the boring stuff, Jo!

its so annoying how you people can make stuff so real when i cant :(
but the backround grass should be a bit more yellowy like the object grass in the front
Well, it took me more than a year to get this far, and I work with TG daily. About the grass, you might be right, but the grass (and landscape) were of minor importance here. It's all about the surf and foam.
Study (this forum) hard and experiment a lot, you'll get there!

Very, very nice Dune. I shall be another one to purchase this.
Nice!
I did something similar (equivalent?) a while ago :)
I suspect Jo that once finished with your important stuff that a TG2 'Waterworks' will be in the works ...keep on.
great work Ulco, i suspect there isnt this file available anymore?
the many links i check to nwda store are down for some reason.
