Hi, Forum
if I load a wavefront.obj which was generatedand exported from Maxon Cinema 4D,
Terragen 2 will crash on rendering.
This effect is reproduceable and occurs with complex objects and simple primitives as well.
I am new to Terragen, so perhaps i overlooked some essentials, then i would be happy
to be pointed at the right direction; otherwise one may take this as a bug report.
Thanks for this outstanding software, anyway, and happy render.

I not an expert but I had problems also until I loaded the obj then went to the object node, Right clicked and exported it from TG as obj or tgo either one. Then imported it back and it rendered. I didn't get to deep into the mtl file though. Hope this is a start in solving your problem. :)
Cool approach, tnx, I will try.

YW, Yeah those obj,s dirty to work with. ;)
OBJ crashes are a known issue and should be covered elsewhere on the forums in great detail, including possible workarounds. The method Buzzzz mentioned happens to be one of the most reliable at present. We will be releasing an update soon that will have fixes for many of the OBJ issues people have been having.

Another turn around one can try is to open the .obj file in
Blender (www.blender.org - its free!) and save it. Works
fine with TG2.
Sometimes you need to correct the shaders but thats it.
