Busy post day for me :) (slow day at work)
Currently trying to get my showreel together, and add some new pieces of my own in my spare time.
Amazed at how robust T2 is here, allowing me to bring in and handle some heavy zbrush decimated models.
Still want to add some more elements, develop the lighting etc, comments welcome. (no post work at all as yet)
Thanks
Chris
Nice modeling. Good mood. Some more foreground elements would be good.
Very 'Fallout 3' or 'Fallen Earth' :)
Nice concept; the colour pallette is bang-on
Thanks guys,
@njeneb. I agree, needs some foreground work. I'm thinking either a bit of street furniture or one or two vehicles.
I've been wanting to do an apocalyptic environment for ages.
Also makes a change, not having a low budget, crazy client and crazier deadline.
Although that can mean it takes an age to complete if I'm not careful, I love getting absorbed in the details.
nice atmo !
Also, Very Nice Demo Reel on your site!!!
i like the feel of this. :)
great modeling on the decaying building in the background too,
Thanks for the feedback everyone.
Much appreciated, might even finish this one, though I have to sidestep for a few days while getting other bits and bobs ready.
Glad you like the reel Thelby, hope to have it updated by the weekend.
Thanks again
Chris
Chris,
Very cool. Yes, put more junk in the foreground. I bet there's a Terminator in the building.

I agree. Junk, Junk, Junk, Junk, Junk, altogethernow! Junk, junk, JUNK, JUNK!
I love the colour scheme, aswell, very bland but also very right. Great! You're a breath of fresh air around here, Chris_422, excellent postings recently. Just great.
Neat. Very "Life After People"-ish. What clouds did you use, or did you make them yourself?
Thanks again guys,
I have to admit, I love the idea of littering the scene with loads more junk. Just got to make more time.
Clouds are straight out of the box, just a few tweaks.
You really are such a friendly bunch around here, most unlike a lot of cg forums I know.
Cheers
Chris
Great reel, I liked the trilobite animation toward the end! A question, was the landscape for the confrontation between what I presume (Please correct me if I am mistaken) where two Allosaurus, a live action plate with CGI dinosaurs added by Digital Compositing latter, or was it High Resolution CGI work?
Regards to you. ;D
Cyber-Angel
Hi Cyber-Angel.
Glad you liked the reel.
The background was a live plate, filmed out in Argentina.
The dinos were originally T-Rex, with a little artistic license, I re-modelled and adapted them to make them more aggressive looking.
The original models, (supposedly accurate) were a little bloated and bland.
Cheers
Chris
