Title: Rock Desert
Post by: Henry Blewer on January 28, 2010, 06:50:03 AM
I had this rendering in the background while I worked on longhouses for Ulco. I saved it as an EXR and used Blender to image process it.
Blender's node composite editor is good. I wish they would make it better.
This uses the Dry Bush Pack from NWDA.

Very nice fake stones in the foreground. For my taste, the overall colour is just a tad too orange-red. How did the unprocessed EXR look?

Yeah - been washed with too much red imo.  *However* once that's changed this will be awesome - the clouds and object placement/fake stones are superb in particular

The EXR was a dark, burnt, orange. It took a lot of fiddling to get this look.

Very good; but, I would have used the atmosphere and lighting to give that red/orange glow on the surfaces.

Hey Henry, nice one (except for the orange glow). Why don't you render again with different color settings... the composition is great.
