Title: earth mask
Post by: Viktim on January 28, 2010, 08:30:22 AM
Hi

I want to make the surface of the earth using a mask. I have tried to plug a imagemap to the blendinput of a alpin fractalshader, but it wont work.
The projection type is set to shperical and position is set to the same as the center of the planet.
The goal is to make a animation from space.

What am i doing wrong?  :o

Should work exactly as you've described it, upload the tgd and we'll be able to see more clearly.
Richard

ps it may be that the displacement of the alpine fractal is just not visible from space, try upping it top something huge just to get your bareings.

some people have been adding a sphere that is slightly biger then the water level
and puting at the same cordinates as earth and attaching the water shader to it.
(I hope you get what I am trying to say)
