Title: How hard to create these images in Terragen?
Post by: reck on February 08, 2010, 08:32:16 AM
How hard do you think it would be to create these images in Terragen, particularly the first two?

http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=177721;

These images were created in Blender which is of course a general all round rendering application, not specialising in landscapes. Seeing as landscapes are Terragens primary focus/strength do you think it would be a better alternative to Blender for creating these types of images?

I do not think they would be too hard at all. The hardest part would be the objects. Only because the Bbox preview does not really allow you to place things close to each other easily.
It would be a great feature to choose a POV in the preview render and have the objects render which you are working on.

Besides the mentioned "Blender greenhouse" seems to have some nice plants. I'll open some of them in Blender tomorrow and see if they can be exported to use in TG.

Looks like he's using ngPlant (http://ngplant.sourceforge.net/) to make most of the models.
