Hi,
I imported a Poser file into Maya using a Python script that brings in the objects and image maps. This file consists of 3 buildings, catwalks, garbage cans, rubble, trash, etc. and image maps for each. When I export from Maya as a .OBJ file, I get the .OBJ and .MTL (plus the image maps for each object). I get a black object when I import the .OBJ to Terragen2 since there is no single file that I can use for a Image Map that I can apply to the entire scene. Is it even possible to import this file and shade it with the appropriate image maps for each object in the scene? Thanks
You will need to use a program called PoseRay. This program will align the image maps correctly. Then when you export the obj file from it the maps will be right for Terragen 2.
Thank you. I've heard of it but never used it.

Search this forum as a few members have posted tutes on it's use in this forum...a valuable TG2 tool IMO.. ...
Provided the object is UV mapped correctly and all textures are image-based (and not procedural), TG2 should be able to load it. You should ensure that your texture names do not have spaces or special characters in them. Ideally the images you are using for texturing will be in the same folder as your object.
Poseray can indeed help ensure that many of these formatting issues are properly handled, though it does not fix everything.
