Title: More than one atmosphere to a planet?
Post by: oggyb on February 24, 2007, 08:49:18 AM
Is there a function node or something that I can use to have more than one atmosphere on my main planet?  I want to have a band of different colours at different heights and would rather not have the huge render times of lots of cloud layers.

Thanks.

Well, you can connect two atmospheres in-line in the node network, but I'm not sure the results will be as you want. Because of the volumetric nature of the atmosphere they will tend to just blend, so rather than bands of color you'd get a combination of the colors. By playing with the heights you *might* be able to get bands however...

Thanks I'll try just shoving them in series first.
