i think its a photo, it just looks oftly like a rendering.
That's a photo. If you look close, you can tell from the rock near the peak.

It looks real but in 5 years we will have real trouble about this.
5 years ago you didn't have so much to think about these kind of photos .
I think many people outside the 3d world would take Saurav and some other good guys images from here as real .
