Hello!
I'm somewhat new to Terragen. I got trapped into doing a Terrain animation for a Documentary on a particular battle during the Korean War. I've read a lot. The director is very particular. I searched and found 2 renders done in Terragen, One by Buzzzz and the other by Eoin Armstrong, that come very close to the look of Korea back in the mid 50's. I did try contacting Buzzzz and Eoin, both via their e-mail and through facebook, but haven't heard back.
Taking a look at the two samples attached and the "real" Terrain, how hard (Advanced) would it be to replicate something similar? Anyone have something similar they don't mind sharing? I'm on a real time crunch to turn in some stills of the terrain.
Or if anyone could describe how I can set-up such a surface layer?
I do appreciate your help!
Sincerely
Max
This tgd is about as close to what you have in mind as I have. Here is a link to the file. You can modify the coloring and displacements. It is not overly complex.

Thank you for your help. A bit of a problem when trying to open the file. a warning comes up saying: There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \device\Harddrive4\DR8 (Then I have to force quite T2 because cancel or continue doesn't work.
Is there another way to access the surface shader?
Thanks
I have a lot of partitions on my hard drive. I should have stripped the plant objects also. Just delete them if you want.
Ironically both of those are Terragen Classic images. If you're still trying to load that .tgd, try editing it with a text editor and removing any references to full paths within it. Or perhaps njeneb can post a new version. Hopefully you also heard back from either Buzzzzz or Eoin.

I'll modify a copy for you. I'll post it in the same file sharing thread.
Here is a link to the stripped version.
