I did my first test render with TG2 yesterday, nothing special, I just wanted some idea of render times. With very few settings turned up and a 640*480 resolution it took exactly one hour. It's clear to me that any decent renders are going to take many hours (hopefully not days). I noticed there's a pause button, not quite sure of it's use, maybe to allow for task switching to something else CPU intensive? Would it be possible for this pause functionality to be extended to allow the project to be saved and closed with the render in progress, to be picked up at the next run?
