Title: Phobos Inspired Moon
Post by: RArcher on March 18, 2010, 10:41:49 PM
Here's my first little play at creating a Phobos styled moon / asteroid.  The crater system is based on Volker Harun's crater work.  Rendered in around an hour, gotta love the speed of planetary renders with no atmosphere!

Looks very much like the real thing, Ryan. The B&W is nice and gives it a real outer space atmo. A little spacecraft somewhere to add dimension?

Looks good. The smaller craters are a bit too uniform. Plus there is a problem with the sense of scale. I do not know how to fix the scale perception. Maybe a scale legend?

Ryan i love your work in general . I think i know what you want to try here .
But there is the little something lacking ( Njeneb'post ...?)... I think you can make this much better as it is.
And i think you know what i mean   :)
