Title: IE, FF and Chrome suddenly can't show images on cgsociety.org ???
Post by: Tangled-Universe on March 21, 2010, 11:28:30 AM
Hi guys,

I have this problem every now and then :(
All of a sudden none of the 3 browsers mentioned in the title are able to show images from cgsociety.org
Of course banners are shown :)

I've tried:

- clearing temp files
- set cookie/active x all to default
- checked if "display images" is enabled -> yes it is
- set encoding to auto select in "view -> encoding -> auto select"

None of these worked and I'm at a loss.
These kind of stupid things really can screw up my free time :(

I hope one of you have a solution, would be much appreciated :)

Cheers,
Martin

I think the server the images come from* has some kind of problem.

So it probably is not because of my browser settings...good to know, thanks.
I couldn't find any topic there where server downtimes are reported/discussed, so that made me suspicious.
