Qui a dit menhir ? Et, voilà.

1) Une question est ce possible de faire un cercle de menhir ?
2) Est ce qu'on peut arrondir le pique au bout du menhir ?
strange.. i like it :)
Cool idea and shot. 8)
Yes it is possible:
1) decide how many monolites you want e.g N = 17
2) Find the direction from the x-axis to the current point (from a "Get position in geometry") giving an angle v
3) calculate u = v - mod(v, 2PI/N)
4) rotate your coordinate system ("Get position in Geometry") the angle u against the clock.
this brings the current point near the x-axis.
5) create your monolite or mask placed at an angle from the x-axis of PI/N.
Thats all.
Details and tgc follows later.
Où est Obélix? ;D
Well it took longer tha expected. I had to decode the Arctan2 node, in order to modify it to calculate the angle from x-axis to a given point (in the range 0..2PI)
As you can see the render still contains shadow errors and som cut off on displacements.
(the rotation of the coordinates as described above, should be clockwise i.e. rotate the N'th segment to the first segment)
Thank you. :) Je verrais ce week end. thank you encore une fois. :) ;)

Can anyone translate to English ?
I used Google Translate, so it's probably not very accurate.
J'ai utilisé Google Translate, alors ce n'est probablement pas très précis.
merci quand meme cordialement, bla bla 2.
Oops, fixed it.
