There was a older tutorial about object making and texturing (i think ?).
If i could find it i would post it here too. sometimes it helps me too to go back to these tutorials ones more  ;)

Not the one i mentioned above (still looking  :)) but another good one i found on Newtek.com about texturing hard surface,sci-fi type objects :
A little hard to read. I increased the Firefox zoom to read it better. Be sure to download the PDF . It hasn't such a problem .
