Title: Faulty Vista
Post by: Dune on March 31, 2010, 02:40:38 AM
Couldn't think of a better name. In between other jobs, I was fiddling with a wide vista for a change, but encountered a strange phenomena. Sort of lines. I'll find out what it is, but here it is anyway. Don't like the distant mountains yet, the trees are just one tree. The lines are probably a mismatch between a displacement intersection in a surface layer, which is blended by a distance shader.... I think.

Oh, that must be the new Automatic Shoreline Generator shader, just stick a big lake on it and enjoy! :D

There's a dip, the lines are shadow lines I'd bet.

Well, Martin (TU) solved it; it's displacement intersection causing trouble in the skies.

Faulty Vista. Sounds pretty funny to an XP user like me! ;D

I especially like the foreground and the dramatic lighting.
