Hey guys, I'm new here, as you may have noticed from my post count...

I've had Terragen 2 for about 6 months now, but gave up after a few days...anyway, I started again a few days ago, going through tutorials in an attempt to understand what everything does. I ended up with the image I've linked to above.

Pretty much I need help with making it look more 'realistic'. Any tips on changing that scene to make it look better would be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
-Unfamiliar

Welcome! This is a reasonable start. One area that could do with some attention is the clouds - I would up the thickness a little, and also the quality.

It needs some objects too. Painting the ground green only works for scenes that are very far away. For closer scenes you're better off to just use bare rock and maybe a snow texture. The eye is not fooled by vegitation painted onto the rock.

Also, you need a subject for the eye to be drawn to. One lonely tree somewhere, or an interesting looking fakestone all by itself.

Otherwise this is a great picture. I especially like the beach.
