Hey everyone, just reminding you to vote in MeltingIces contest on the PATHS fourms here: http://www.designpaths.com/forums/thread.php?threadid=45&sid=
Also I encourage more people to join in the fun next round.
Regards,
Will
will if you'd be so kind to share rendering time I would enter the competition:P:P ;D ;Djk
i had forgotten about this competition and might just do some joking ;D ;D
if you buy me a full licence I'll render for you :P
Yea I figured a lot of people just forgot about it so I took it apon myself to remind them to vote. Also they are neat render and I thopugh people would enjoy them.
Regards,
Will
Maybe we could have a competition for panoramas done with Tg2..... they take 6 times longer to make but are well worth it... more atmosphere to the renders
very true, but do you mean like the ones that you can rotate and look around or just really long, short images?
Regards,
Will
heres a thread by bigben... two links to his and 1 link to mine.
yes panorams you rotate vs just very long ones.

that would be a very cool idea but it might be better to wait till GI is fixed before we do that.
Regards,
Will
yeah currently you have to have GI turned to 0...
you could use a fill light but it might make my space renders looks weird.
Regards,
Will
Haha thanks for the help in spreading the word Will :P
If I hadn't already voted, I might have changed it to KevinF. That's cool.

I did vote, but then another image was added after I voted?
Looks like Hornblower has this one in the bag.
Are we really going to wait for a week? :D
you never know I might take the gold ;)
No I think he deserves it it is a very nice looking render.
but when we do orbital render contest I will take it! moahahahaha..ha.....ha *cough*
Regards,
Will
Haha yea I think Hornblower is going to be the winner, but I want to wait a full week just to make sure. Next time though, I am not allowing any images to be submitted after the deadline no matter what the reason. I can also start up a new contest while the voting is going on for this one. I like Will's idea of orbital renders, anyone else have some ideas?
well there was panoramic but I would wait till after GI is fixed.

Will

Yea I agree with you there :P
Not putting a wet blanket on the panoramic, but I'm not sure I know how to do one. I've been sort of busy, but if it's not a lot of time to learn I can try.
We could do something with light or light sources in textures or orbitals or...anything about terrain to learn more about that. This was a great contest. I wish more had joined in. I'm surprised, really. I learned a lot and love seeing what others can do.
the file bigben is sharing on that thread TG2QTVR.zip has all the info in it. once you have your 6 square renders to make a cube shape. it takes about 1 minute to turn into a panorama...
if you like i will upload a entire pano from the 6 cubes to final product and you can see what it looks like?
Okay. Cool, king_tiger_666 (666? - are you the devil?) ::)
sadly I am not...
here is the file... includes everything to make a small version pano

Thanks. And I'm glad you aren't.
