Maybe we could have a competition for panoramas done with Tg2..... they take 6 times longer to make but are well worth it... more atmosphere to the renders

very true, but do you mean like the ones that you can rotate and look around or just really long, short images?

Will

that would be a very cool idea but it might be better to wait till GI is fixed before we do that.

If I hadn't already voted, I might have changed it to KevinF.  That's cool.

Looks like Hornblower has this one in the bag.

Haha yea I think Hornblower is going to be the winner, but I want to wait a full week just to make sure.  Next time though, I am not allowing any images to be submitted after the deadline no matter what the reason.  I can also start up a new contest while the voting is going on for this one.  I like Will's idea of orbital renders, anyone else have some ideas?

Not putting a wet blanket on the panoramic, but I'm not sure I know how to do one.  I've been sort of busy, but if it's not a lot of time to learn I can try.

We could do something with light or light sources in textures or orbitals or...anything about terrain to learn more about that.  This was a great contest.  I wish more had joined in.  I'm surprised, really.  I learned a lot and love seeing what others can do.

the file bigben is sharing on that thread TG2QTVR.zip has all the info in it. once you have your 6 square renders to make a cube shape. it takes about 1 minute to turn into a panorama...

if you like i will upload a entire pano from the 6 cubes to final product and you can see what it looks like?
