This is without doubt my longest running Terragen 2 project.
Here it was in 2007, among the first images I ever made with Terragen 2. http://dandel0.deviantart.com/art/Of-A-Spring-Morn-53221411
Here it is again, remade in 2008. http://dandel0.deviantart.com/art/Of-etc-85160221
I skipped out in 2009, it was a bad year.
All the projects are completely new .tgd's from year to year, in Spring 2010, here's where I'm at with this idea, it's beginning to feel like my own personal benchmark scene. I wonder where it'll end up in 2011...
Credits and thanks to;
Walli - The Noble One.
The Ivy Generator.
DAZ 3D - Daffodil, violet, butterfly, seagull, teacup.
Turbosquid - Window, wind chimes, orchid.
Thanks for looking! :)
Hmmm, I didn't think it was that bad. :-\
as said on DA, marvelous, dude ! ;D
Not bad at all, in fact the progression in technique and vision is pretty clear. It's just that the boards seem a little quiet of late, or perhaps that's just my imagination? The background mountains look especially good, and the soft shadows really enhance realism. If I had one crit, it would be to produce a better coffee cup - where's the steam? ;) OK two crits - the window latches could do with a proper reflective shader.
I remember the old versions .They looked kind of surreal(?) . Here the background looks realistic .It changed a lot.
The foreground is the same style . If this is what you want then there is no problem. It looks nice and interesting.
But i would like to see a version where the foreground is realistic too.
There aren't any textures on the wall , window and such( If there are i can't see).
Other then this , this is a nice project seeing in evolution .
I was going to post here even if you hadn't said this"Hmmm, I didn't think it was that bad." ;)
Cheers.
dombib:There is a real reflective shader on the latches, you can see the reflection of the cup in the right one.(the previous 2 images only had default specularity).
Kadri: Good points, thanks. Maybe I should try and tarnish things up a little nearer the camera around the frame, wall paper is a good idea, too.
My main niggle-point is the shadow of the tree in the centre of the shot, I'd have liked that shadow to 'cut' the frame a little better, moving the tree that is casting it back slightly would have been a good idea, I think.
Cheers! Always good to have some input to work from. :)
How refreshing. I like it. So realistic. Wish I was there.
It looks like an Armstrong Window advertisement. That is made from a couple photos. This is more awesome!
I wish it was spring already in here.
