Title: Terra 2 illiterate - 1 question
Post by: bOINK! on April 18, 2010, 08:55:17 AM
Hello All,
Just discovered Terragen 2 (windows version) by sheer luck surfing the net a couple of days back, and I'm simply fascinated.
Currently reading all tut intros I can get my hands on and although I have a billion of questions I'll try to discover answers along my way.

I have "completed" the BenMcDuff scene and loved every minute of it (thx for a great tutorial John). Now carefully fooling around with nodes and settings to see eventual changes. Along the way I decided on making a kind of sunset / sunrise scene, but for some reasons the sun still shows through the mountains once I lower the elevation below the mountain range...
What did I omit or what am I doing wrong?  btw, it seems that even with the original tut and settings this would also happen.

thx in advance

Basically what these topics tell you is to enable ray traced shadows in your atmosphere node...

 :D
thx for the quick response.
Enabling ray traced shadows was it. I had seen that tick box but being under the "Quality" tab I thought it would only increase the final image quality and not the actual effect.

So much to learn ! Fantastic

thx again
