Too busy recently to really get much rendering done, but I forced myself to schedule an hour to see what I could get done yesterday. Pretty simple scene, two wheat models by Sonshine777 and a couple of Xfrog trees. I tried to give the scene a very painterly serene feel and it seems to have worked out well.

Very nice!
Next time with such a sky and lighting I'd choose for entire overcast without visible clouds though.
I like the goldish look of this whole image.
You should free up some time more often Ryan ;)
Cheers,
Martin
Don't be fooled people, its really a just a photograph........ :D :D :D
reminds me of a aged photograph
looks really good, photoreal.. i like the trees in the background, and the weat in the foreground look good too.
Yes, I agree that the golden tone of the picture is very nice - those wheat models look pretty good.
Nice job!
looks fabulous, though is there some tiling going on, with an image map shader through render camera projection?
ps do you have a link for the wheat?
Thanks guys, I did try a more overcast sky, but that causes the nice golden colour and variations to become quite flat and boring unfortunately. There shouldn't be any tiling going on as there are no image maps being used, but it certainly could just be not enough variation in the wheat populations. The wheat objects can be found here from 2007! http://www.terragen.org/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item239 (http://www.terragen.org/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item239)

Absolutly breath-taking! I love this one!
wonderful field.... so realistic
Excellent.
Hello, Ryan.
Concerning your Wheat Field render, I can only say that if I was back home in Kansas, I'd be "firing up" the ol' combine and getting that wheat harvested before the next bad storm.
Great render and a beautiful scene!
Regards,
Vandy (Gary)
