Title: Terragen tryout: Woodlands with fog
Post by: Eikers on April 23, 2010, 07:56:24 AM
Have been trying out this incredible software for a few weeks now and thought it was time to share something with those of you who like to gaze upon digital landscapes. I know sunsets are perhaps the biggest of all clichés but right now I'm just fascinated by the ray tracing effect for the fog.

Hope the attachment works

Nicely composed to highlight the shadows in the fog. I'd suggest working a bit on the foreground colours of the grass shader.

I like the grass shader color. Looks fall like. Kadri wants everything to be larger; he's a super size guy. he image looks great when I change the screen resolution :)

Great job. The shadows off the trees within the fog is sweet.

Sometimes I get a bit loose on the keys Kadri... :-\  Please don't think I'm being critical. Many times you are right about the image needing to be larger. Marc Gebhart's Ants on the Hunt image is a prime example.

Don't worry i am not so touchy and if i sense something not so respectful or think there is , i ask first   :D

Edit : As a side note it has to do a little with my monitor size ;it is 26" This leads me to make a poll topic , Njeneb  ;)

Well, yes it is the free version I am trying out to see if we can use Terragen at work. It has already made a few yaws drop at the office but there are a few things still that need to be tested - GIS data in particular.

About size Kadri, I use two 19" monitors so my bet is that I'll render this picture real big just for you when I go pro with TG2. ;D
