Hi all,
Our studio, 422 South are on the lookout for terragen artists who might be free for some freelance work this summer.
We are based in Bristol, UK, and the work will be broadcast, documentary style work.
The company prefer to have freelancers work here in the studio and not remotely.
Please drop me a pm or email me at chrish@422.com if you are interested.
Cheers
Chris
Hi Chris,
are you open for remote work but would prefer onsite, or does remote disqualify right away?
You might well get a few real experts if you're open for remote, still ;)
Cheers,
Frank
hi Chris, Bristol is my home town, but alas I no longer live near there, otherwise I wouldve been up for that!
Thanks for the replies chaps.
Shame Inky, that would have been convenient.
@Frank, we wouldn't necessarily rule out remote workers, but probably only use them as a last resort.
From what I know of the work we have coming up, most of it will be required to work in tandem with elements being produced in maya.
So ideally we need artists who could be here and be able to work with others.
But hey, Bristols lovely in the summer!

Small world. I was in Bristol for the past two years in a row. Two years ago I was on
a choir tour and we sang in the New Room, Charles Wesley's Chapel. Interesting to
see Methodism's humble beginnings. Last year we attended the Society of Vertebrate
Paleontology's first meeting outside North America. It was hosted by UofB. Quite an
interesting place...home of the BBC. (In Houston TX, my home town, UofH was the
birth place of our own PBS across the pond from ya'll.) My wife and I attended a lecture
by Sir David Attenborough in an event celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of
Charles Darwin and the 150th anniversary of "Origin of Species". Attenborough is quite
an awesome individual and still going strong. His closing quote by Alfred Russell Wallace
brought tears to my eyes.
Unfortunately, I am a Terragen beginner and a Lightwave man. I love the documentary
work that the BBC puts out and I am a fan of Tim Haines. Wishing you the best...
