Title: How many formats can Terragen 2 Deep version can export?
Post by: prasad5787 on April 27, 2010, 07:52:16 AM
HI,

I found .lwo, .ter, .tgc, .tgd ways of different formats that Terragen can export.

Is there are any other file formats that T2 Deep can export? if so, can I get some documentation on how to? please.....

many thanks,

-prasad

I think the most useful and perhaps only export is for Lightwave. This is heightfield only. I think that using the shade by height in the heightfield and an orthographic camera directly overhead will give an image map of the heightfield.

I have not tried this, so I may be wrong. At least it may give some direction for a search of the forum.

Terragen 2 exports 4 types of data - TG2 XML, image, terrain, and geometry.

TG2 XML formats are proprietary: TGD is the save format for a full scene file, TGC is the format for an independent set of 1 or more nodes or a "clip file"

Image formats supported for "export"/save are: TIFF, BMP, TGA, EXR, RGB/SGI

Terrain formats supported for export: TER, EXR

Geometry formats supported for export: LWO, TGO
