some model testing with the latest alpha, dl'ed lwos from http://www.dmi3d.0fees.net/models1b.html (http://www.dmi3d.0fees.net/models1b.html) converted to objs in blender, some subsurfing also, then rendered as tgos in terragen....
a ford tractor...
I really like the tractor. I think the color is off from 'factory settings'. Cool stuff. It will look great with the barns if I ever get started modeling them again.
Ok so what new features are you showing us here? Speed of render, improved transparancy, reflection etc. A comparrison with the previous version would be cool.
Ooh just noticed you wrote "some subsurfacing", where that evident?
:)

Thanks njeneb and Richard, though not sure if there is anything new to show you Richard, or at least anything I can talk about!!....;)
I think the sub-surfacing was done in Blender. It helps greatly with low poly objects. Blender's Wavefront export does a very nice job with the conversion.
yep you are right, subsurfing was done in blender, sorry to mislead!
Aaarrgh thoes pesky NDA's lol
Looking forward to it when it gets here :)
Richard
The paint effects and the reflection looks really good.
Nothing in particular being shown here that I can see (from the alpha I mean). Nice models though.
