Title: Jamin [Updated 17/05/2010]
Post by: Saurav on May 15, 2010, 09:30:48 AM
Believe it or not, first one for me in 2010. Just letting you guys know I'm still alive.  ;D

Jamin in Nepali means Land or Field.

Nice.

It looks like you used a sharpen filter on this. If so, tone it down a bit and I think you will get a softer more natural look to the render.

Beautiful

I love the vegetation and the rock texture.

Been waiting for something new from you Saurav :)

I think it's really good as usual, but the clouds look a little out of place. The actually have a little "Vue" look on them.
The rest is just beautiful. Especially the lighting.

Terje

Looks like a dream.  It almost has that quality of light just before a storm rolls in where the ground is brighter than the sky.  Really nice.

Great veg and the rock is superb! For me, I agree with sjefen on the clouds - a little too soft perhaps?

I'll be looking to do some revisions on this. Incorporate some of those changes and maybe add more elements. Cheers for the comments guys.

Very nice scene, but there's a bit of noise in the clouds and they could use a little more detail perhaps. The tree trunk texture could probably use a little work too. Looking good though.

Here is an update. Clouds have more details and changed the colour of the tree leaves. Soft Shadows enabled and slightly different lighting than the previous version. I'll keep going on with this to see where it goes.

Inky: The clouds are based on this clip file shared a while ago.

The new anisotropic enviro light setting in TG2 gets rid of the those ugly shapes in the shadow areas. :)

Hence looks much better in this version than previously.
