Title: internal accuracy
Post by: monks on April 25, 2011, 03:56:33 PM
Sorry, this post still stands- thought I'd made an error but this is correct.

I had accuracy problems with setting a coastline on very large terrain extents via the Sphere object (using it's radius to set the water plane obviously).
The terrain was a 4000 Km .ter. Sea level was created via a Sphere object as stated.
The image map shaders all mapped perfectly to the terrain, but the sphere object did not.

Having reduced the scale by half, the sphere coastline is now much more accurate.

I thought I'd post this here as I was wondering if the 64 bit version would address this.

Investigating whether this is actually an accuracy problem or other bug. See reply here: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=12162
