Hey guys,
Just wondering what variety of languages people use on this forum. I'm almost positive most people have English as a first language (like me) but it still, I think, would be interesting to know.
Oh yeah, if you speak another language, you can just say so :) And I'll try to use this forum more for image posting rather than nitpicking (just kidding) :D
Cheers!

Swiss-German ;D
American English; I can read a little French, German, and have been picking up some Japanese (I am starting to recognize some alphabet characters) Also my forte is nonsense, but it's hard to translate. ::)
Actually I would venture to guess (without looking at the votes yet) that a large proportion of people here are not native English speakers (though clearly many are quite fluent, often times even more so than us native speakers ;D).

English first, but i was lucky to spend 2 years of college living in Rome, joined the military and went to spain for 3 years, so a garbled mix there. also some written japanese due to my hobby of origami. the wife knows a bit of yiddish and hebrew and the girls are leaning conversational hebrew for upcoming trips to isreal,

First main language is Portuguese, then a little European Spanish, Italian,

From living abroad for many years I can also speak New York city style english, ghetto jive,
Central America Spanish, South American Spanish and a few words in Indian, African, Japanese
and Chinese.
The Chinese and Japanese part is only from ordering Chinese food from my favourite restaurant ::)

Lol. So what did you vote for? ;D ;D ::)
I forget to mention 'Double Speak'. I also could translate Ronald Reagan's speeches, before Larry Speaks would come on and explain what he meant to say. 'The Great Communicator' indeed. :-X

HeHeHe, I remember him well back in the Jurassic Era of the 1980´s. He was a pretty cool ol´geezer
and a funny guy too ;D
Once he was joking around during a microfone check before one of his radio broadcasts and said...
" My fellow Americans... I'm pleased to announce... that I've signed legislation outlawing the Soviet Union.
We begin bombing in five minutes." :P LOL :D I wonder if Gorbachev was laughing at that joke
" My fellow Americans... I'm pleased to announce... that I've signed legislation outlawing the Soviet Union.
We begin bombing in five minutes."
It was statements like that which made me think he was a lunatic. If a world leader, armed with biological and nuclear weapons, said that about my country I would be very alarmed. Then there was the drugs imported to fund weapons to Iran. The Meese commission investigating porn. Trickle down economics; a policy which has almost destroyed the lower middle class...

it was a cool crazy fun era for me! :D
