This is a really beautiful image! It suffers from the artifacts of JPG compression, and the flat planes of leaves on the trees are not ideal. But the atmosphere, color, and lighting are brilliant. Do you have this posted elsewhere in higher quality?

I too like the atmosphere very much. Dreamy. I agree with Oshyan about the leaves. Perhaps another tree would be better.

Gorgeous at full resolution and uncompressed in PNG. Thanks for that link! Interesting to see the wire frame too, a common request on CG discussion boards like CGTalk but up until recently not something that TG could do. ;)

Are you finished with the piece, or would you consider a more detailed tree model to get rid of the flat planes of leaves? I think that would make this image nearly perfect. Other than that issue it's one of the best I've seen here lately.

probably you could "tune" the leaves, so that they donĀ“t look that flat. Just subdivide a bit in a 3D application and do some sort of crumple and then import back.

Apart from that, really nice!

Thanks everyone!
Want a DOF in the next update

Sounds like a good idea.
However, looking at the POV I think it will be very challenging to create a DOF which works well with the scene without making it look like a miniature for example.

Looking forward to it :)

Cheers,
Martin
