Have you considered online study? TD Academy is set to go live soon - http://www.td-academy.com/

They look to be a pretty serious bunch and it should work out cheaper too. There's along thread over on cgtalk if you want some more info - http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=59&t=445647&page=1&pp=15

Ugh... I'm taking an American History course online and it's very painful.  While the idea is good, my philosophy is either teach yourself or be taught by a real person that you meet in physical, 3-dimensional space.

Just for the record I don't think gnomon is an actual college more of a post study courses (they make great video tutorials though).

http://www.vfs.com/ Vancover film school is a post secondary entertainment art school.

Oh and Old_blaggard why would you take a online American History course? I can understand like computer animation or mathimatics but I think social studys more of a hand on experience.

Regards,

Will

I had to take it online because it's a graduation requirement at my high school and because of my travels during high school, I never got around to taking it.

Ah, Russia... I'm so jealous of you :D.  I spent my sophomore year in Paris, and have gone on some other vacations in various European countries over the summers.

One of the top rated animation colleges are the Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida. Ringling prides itself on being ranked as the #1 college in North America three years running by 3D World, a prestigious industry magazine. The Savannah College of Art and Design and the Pratt Institute also have excellent programs. you can go to this link http://www.findyourartschool.com/ep/animation-colleges.php (http://www.findyourartschool.com/ep/animation-colleges.php) and find various colleges and information about animation.
