Wow, those are stupendous. Do you know anything about the picture set? It says "A tour at the "dry valley"", but I'm not sure they're all from the same place. I'd love to know the location. My first thought was Iceland because of the apparent icey steam vent in the first picture, but after that I wasn't sure.

Thanks for the ideas.  True inspiration, except for that last canyon.   ::)

Great images!  I'm constantly amazed at what nature can come up with.  It seems that no matter how hard we CG people try, good old Gaea always one-ups us.

@Oshyan: One of the pics shows a signpost with "McMurdo 3km" and that is on south pole.

Haven't looked at the pictures, but yeah, 'dry valleys' is a term used to describe an antarctic phenomenon.

Wow, nature is awesome. Yes I think the dry valleys refer to Antarctica- the driest places on Earth apparently.

Yeah, I saw that too. I then looked it up and apparently "dry valley" (the title of the page) is correct. It's in Antartica and that pretty much means I'll never make it there to check it out. ;) Which is a shame because it looks amazing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McMurdo_Dry_Valleys

Looking through those images, I couldn't help but notice that a TG2 expert would be able to at least half of those, and three quarters of them by the time we get sub-surface scattering (cloud creation tools, or some sort of particle system would be required (and - let's face it, appreciated too) for the steam vents)
