Seems like it would be quicker just to jump in the car and turn the key...

I agree, Jo.  And it's so geeky.   ;D  That reason alone makes me think it's cool.  LOL  And if you could stop your engine like that, it might be so helpful in a situation like when a spy steals your car to chase someone else whose on a motorcycle shooting at everyone while trying to escape the Russian mob who set an explosion to go off in Notre Dame in two minutes.  But, you know, just sayin'.   :P

But if you're in your house in the winter, and your car is sitting frozen in the driveway, it might be a great thing to have.
