This topic is very interesting to me. The software you found seems like an affordable way to fake HDR in video! Great 8)

I think the software may be a nice thing, since the cameras are not cheap.
these cameras run about 75-100 thousand and pretty much do it with one lens. Still pretty cheap compared to a typical hollywood setup.

You said 75 to 100,000 but the Epic-M Package is 58,000 for the Red Epics.
Thats even better Chris! You'll have to add a few lenses, which will cost. And I suspect that you would want larger memory. But I'll take it ;D
True. Lenses can get costly. Always wanted to be a film maker and this seems light, portable and just plain nifty.
@TheBadger - same software. But, the GingerHDR is $129 until March 31st. I asked the creator about this and he said it could be used as is on any digital film, similarly (and not to be confused with) Photomatix with still photos.

Its funny. I started using terragen and learning about other 3d stuff, because I do not have a motion camera, and I needed much more video, for my reel. I would buy that software if I had a proper camera! I added the link to my book marks because Im absolutely sure I'll get it at some point.
Right now I really wonder how it would look on a TG2 animation sequence? Does anyone reading this have a animation with some under/over exposed parts to it? Some testing on this could be very useful! I thought I saw a full test version when I looked at the page.
I took an HD movie today and played with the results to find it really makes lighting the scene easier. I'm sure it might have the same effect with a TG2 movie. It just helps, like Photomatix, to control the light better and easier. I'm playing with the demo of GingerHDR and like it. Just not sure about the $$. ???
